衛福部彰化醫院開設減重班，已有百名學員減重成功，醫院指出，減重不一定要痛苦節食，只要改變飲食習慣，吃對食物、吃對順序，以吃得營養健康取代吃飽，一樣可以成功減重。

衛生福利部彰化醫院開設減重班已進入第4年，由彰化醫院肝膽腸胃科主任陳詩典以及領有健康管理師認證的諮商心理師蘇琮祺以及衛教師洪雅琳等，帶領學員進行減重。

在最近一期減重班中，有一對來自嘉義以及台中的姊妹，51歲的姊姊陳水萍減重5公斤，腰圍少了10公分；47歲的妹妹陳美蓮也減重5公斤，腰園少了7.5公分；陳水萍陳美蓮異口同聲指出，她們利用通訊軟體群組分享改善飲食的心得，相互加油打氣，才能成功減重而不復胖。

蘇琮祺指出，其實參加減重可以不必痛苦的進行節食，只要從改變飲食習慣做起，不僅吃對食物，也要吃對順序，從原本的吃飯配菜改成吃菜配飯，以吃出營養健康為原則取代吃飽，如果有專業人員或是親友的陪伴鼓勵，減重效果會更好。
